If the setting described in the next section doesn’t appear in your ChromeOS settings, you’re unfortunately out of luck. The Linux subsystem may not be available on older Chromebook models. If you haven’t activated Linux on your Chromebook, you’ll need to do so first. It uses the Linux Subsystem for ChromeOS.

There’s an Android Tor app, and since Chromebooks can run Android apps, you can use it on your Chromebook. The Tor website states that there is no official Tor client for ChromeOS. But remember that your traffic has to go outside of Tor network coverage to get to the website you want to visit. In both cases, your network traffic is routed over the Tor network.
